Ford, D-Chicago, has introduced legislation calling for an audit of Chicago Public Schools (CPS), focused on students who have not returned since the resumption of in-person learning, the effects of CPS’ 2013 mass closures targeting historically underserved communities, and equity in CPS’ distribution of state funds.
