ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. —State Rep. Mary Beth Canty, D-Arlington Heights, in partnership with the Arlington Heights Police Department, will host a Self-Defense Training Seminar on Aug. 22 from 6-9 p.m. at the Village of Arlington Heights Police Department located at 200 E Sigwalt Street in Arlington Heights.

CHICAGO – The Illinois Legislative Black Caucus will be holding a press conference on Thursday, July 20 at 11 a.m. on Zoom where they will discuss the importance of Tuesday’s constitutionality ruling for the Pre-Trial Fairness Act provision of the SAFE-T Act.

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – In order to ensure parents have the resources they need, state Rep. Natalie Manley, D-Joliet, is partnering with Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, state Sen. Meg Loughran Cappel, and state Rep. Dee Avelar to host a Diaper Depot Drive, which collects a variety of items for babies that will be distributed for free to parents in need by the United Way of Will County.

CHICAGO – State Rep. Michael J. Kelly, D-Chicago, is spreading the word after the Illinois State Police (ISP) announced the second round of Firearm Enforcement Grants to local law enforcement organizations throughout the state. The police department in Morton Grove, which Kelly represents, received $12,686 from ISP.

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. – State Rep. Fred Crespo, D-Hoffman Estates, is spreading the word after the Illinois State Police (ISP) announced the second round of Firearm Enforcement Grants to local law enforcement organizations throughout the state. The police department in Schaumburg, parts of which Crespo represents, received $19,588 from ISP, after also applying for and receiving funding in the first round of grants.
