Kifowit-Sponsored Initiative to Streamline Veteran ID Cards Becomes Law

AURORA, Ill. – Continuing her advocacy for veterans, state Rep. Stephanie Kifowit, D-Oswego, passed legislation to streamline the veteran ID process for the Secretary of State. Her legislation will make it easier for current and former men and women of our armed forces to obtain ID’s signifying they are veterans, and cutting away clerical mishaps and red tape.

Stuart to Host Free Seminar to Help Residents Save on Their Property Taxes

GRANITE CITY, Ill. – To help residents understand the property tax appeals process, state Rep. Katie Stuart, D-Edwardsville, is hosting a free property tax appeals seminar with the Granite City Township Assessor, Deborah Gray, to make local residents aware of any exemptions that could lower their property taxes.
