Hernandez Celebrates Health Care Coverage Expansion for Undocumented Immigrants

CICERO, Ill. — All income-eligible Illinoisans ages 42 and up can enroll in health care coverage regardless of immigration status, thanks to a new policy championed by state Rep. Elizabeth “Lisa” Hernandez, D-Cicero. This historic expansion will provide comprehensive, affordable health coverage to approximately 27,000 uninsured low-income immigrants, according to Healthy Illinois.
