CHICAGO – State Rep. Mary Gill, D-Chicago, and state Sen. Bill Cunningham, D-Chicago, are inviting area residents to come share their thoughts and concerns at an upcoming Senior Advisory Board meeting scheduled for Monday, June 23 at 10 a.m. at the Apollo Recreation Center in Alsip.
“We value the discussions and input we receive from older adults,” Gill said. “These conversations directly impact our actions in Springfield, and we’re excited to welcome folks for another advisory meeting. We’ll talk about issues facing local families, as well as recent action at our state’s capitol and the work ahead.”
The meeting is free and open to older adults represented by Gill and Cunningham, and participants are encouraged to share their thoughts on any state issue. Gill and Cunningham intend for the advisory board to further meet regularly, with additional dates to be scheduled in the months ahead.
