Gill Reacts to Governor’s Budget Address, Underscores Need to Support First Responders and Working Families

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Mary Gill, D-Chicago, issued the following statement Wednesday after the governor’s annual budget address:

“This will need to be a carefully crafted and responsible budget that strengthens support for our first responders, invests in our children and delivers on essential services families care about. I’m particularly interested in seeing how we can continue to drive down costs for families and expand needed access to health care.

“Today is the beginning of a longer process. I look forward to further engaging local stakeholders and residents on how we can secure a fiscally and socially responsible budget that delivers for our community.”
