RED BUD, Ill. – During the month of September, state Rep. Nathan Reitz, D- Steeleville, will be hosting multiple satellite office hours to help bring the services of his office to locations across the 116th district.

“I encourage local residents to stop by my satellite office hours during the month of September, whether it’s because they are seeking assistance on a state issue, want to share with their thoughts and opinions, or just to stop by and say hello,” said Reitz. “I am humbled to serve our region, and I will continue working to be a strong voice for Southern Illinois in Springfield by discussing the issues that matter most to our families with one-on-one conversations.”

Reitz is hosting satellite office hours throughout St. Clair County during the month of September:

• Tuesday, Sept. 3 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. – Sauget Village Hall, 2897 Falling Springs.

Reitz’s office can provide assistance with a variety of state issues, including professional license applications, accessing veterans’ benefits, resources for jobseekers or assistance with a FOID or concealed carry license application.

“The district that I represent covers a lot of miles, spanning across all or portions of Monroe, Perry, Randolph and St. Clair Counties,” continued Reitz. “I know it might be hard for folks to make it out to my office in Red Bud when they have a concern or need assistance, which is why I will continue hosting satellite office hours throughout different parts of Southern Illinois.”

ALTON, Ill. –  To help Alton Township residents learn more about their property tax bills and ways to lower it, state Rep. Monica Bristow, D-Alton, is teaming up with the Alton Township Assessor’s office to host satellite office hours on Aug. 22.

“When I am out going door-to-door talking to people in our communities, I hear a lot of concerns about rising property taxes,” said Bristow. “Holding satellite office hours with our township assessor’s office allows residents to have a one-on-one conversation to receive individualized information on how they can lower their tax bill and to make sure that homeowners are aware of available exemptions.”

Residents are encouraged to bring their most recent property tax bill to Senior Services Plus located at 2603 N. Rodgers Ave. in Alton for Bristow’s Property Tax Satellite Office Hours on Aug. 22 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. A representative from the Alton Township Assessor’s office will be available to meet one-on-one with homeowners to review their bills to make sure they are receiving any exemptions they may qualify for. They can also learn more about interior reviews and other ways to possibly lower their property taxes. While everyone is welcome to attend this free event, Alton Township residents will be able to receive more detailed information on what services are available to them. Future meetings and events will be held throughout Bristow’s district.

“As a member of the Property Tax Relief Task Force, I will continue my work in Springfield in providing relief from high property taxes and stopping new taxes and fees from being placed on residents,” said Bristow. “I am looking forward to helping provide residents with the individual help to ensure they are taking advantage of any savings they can.”

“In addition to helping me stay in touch with residents, satellite office hours let me bring the services my office can provide to new communities,” Reitz said. “I’ll be in Dupo and East Carondelet so people who might not be able to make it to Red Bud for something like employment resources, FOID card application assistance, or help with veterans’ benefits can meet with me to get the support they need.”

ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, is releasing his summer Satellite Office Hours schedule.

“In addition to door-to-door canvassing and hosting events such as town halls and coffee shop visits, I host satellite office hours throughout my district to better serve my constituents and to promote my accessibility,” Yingling said. “Offering these sorts of helpful mobile office visits at familiar locations provides residents greater access to things like resume help, assistance with state agencies and so much more. I look forward to hosting these events and encourage residents to utilize them.”

Yingling’s Satellite Office Hours provide residents of the 62nd District who may otherwise be unable to visit his main office or who are not technology savvy, to receive assistance at a more convenient and familiar location such as a local library near their hometown. ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, will host an open house at his new full-time constituent service office located at 1919 IL-83 in Round Lake Beach on Monday, February 27th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

“I am excited and look forward to having residents stop by new full-time constituent service office to meet me and my staff,” Yingling said. “This opportunity is a great way  for citizens and community leaders to reacquaint themselves with the services my office can provide, tour our new space, and share their thoughts about important state and local issues.”

NORTHLAKE, Ill. – In an effort to increase accessibility to her constituent services resources, state Rep. Kathleen Willis, D-Addison, will be meeting with local residents at the Franklin Park Public Library, located at 10311 Grand Avenue in on Tuesday, January 31st from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

“I welcome everyone to stop by to learn more about what services are offered through my office, as well as to voice their concerns regarding our state government,” said Willis.  “I want people to know that this office belongs to them and they are always welcome to reach out for any state-related issue they encounter.”

Satellite Office Hours help Willis keep her promise to be open and accessible to all the residents of the 77th District. Residents can stop by during the time of the office hours and talk to Willis or her staff about any questions, concerns, or issues they may have regarding the State of Illinois.

“I have been spending much of my time talking to constituents at their doors, on the phone and at public events because some people may have difficulty finding the time to visit our district office in Northlake,” said Willis. “Busy schedules, prior commitments, and transportation may be factors that make it challenging for residents to stop by and learn about what we can do to help, so I think it is important for me to go to them.”

Kathleen Willis will be serving her third term in the Illinois General Assembly as State Representative of the 77th District, which includes O’Hare Airport and portions of Addison, Bellwood, Bensenville, Franklin Park, Maywood, Melrose Park, Northlake, Stone Park, and Wood Dale.
