Formerly served at The Chicago School, City Colleges of Chicago, Chicago State University, and Northern Illinois University. Member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, and the 100 Black Men of Chicago. B.S./M.S.Ed., Northern Illinois University; MBA, Saint Xavier University; Ph.D., Concordia University Chicago. Lives in Chicago with his wife and two children.

Crawford Bill Clarifies Rights, Services Available to Parents of Students with Disabilities

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Mike Crawford, D-Chicago, passed legislation unanimously out of the Education Policy committee that makes parents of students with disabilities aware of their ability to have advocates present at Individual Educational Program (IEP) meetings. This legislation provides additional information that will allow families to best participate in the development of their child’s IEP, fulfilling a promise that he made to constituents.
