Biography

Full-time state legislator; daughter of immigrant parents from the state of Puebla, Mexico raised in Little Village and later the Chicago/West Lawn area for over 30 years; proud graduate of Hubbard High School; B.A. in International Relations from Roosevelt University; married to a Chicago police officer and mother of two daughters; former Community Outreach Organizer assisting the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the Southwest Side of Chicago; former Auxiliary Board Member for the National Museum of Mexican Art; first woman and Latina woman to represent the 22nd district.
