Stuart Highlights IDOT Workshops for Disadvantaged Businesses

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. — State Rep. Katie Stuart, D-Edwardsville, is promoting awareness of an upcoming series of workshops entitled “Building Blocks of Success” being offered by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) focused on helping new and existing Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). Workshops are currently scheduled between Dec. 5 and Dec. 21.

Gill Backs Plan to Ensure All Retired CPD Officers Receive 3% COLA

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Mary Gill, D-Chicago, recently supported an effort to ensure all retired Chicago Police Department officers receive a 3% non-compounded cost of living adjustment (COLA), replacing existing statute that provides a lower, 1.5% non-compounded COLA for officers born after Jan. 1, 1966.

CHICAGO — State Rep. Michael J. Kelly, D-Chicago, is holding a ‘Toys for Tots’ drive, in conjunction with Alderman Samantha Nugent, now through December 15. Donations can be dropped off at Kelly and Nugent’s shared office, 4200 W. Lawrence Ave. in Chicago. Drop-off hours are Mondays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesdays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
