JOLIET, Ill. – State Representative Natalie Manley, D-Joliet, is highlighting the launch of the Women United Project for Will County, after attending the United Way of Will County’s Little Black Dress Soiree on February 1 at the Renaissance Center.

“I am so grateful to serve in a community that comes together to address the needs of the women in Will County,” said Manley. “It is so empowering to be among so many strong women who really walk the walk, and want to invest their time and energy into enacting true change. I look forward to working with Women United on programs that positively impact all women in the area.”

The Little Black Dress Soiree served as a launch party for the Women United Project, a United Way of Will County’s women of social change initiative, aiming to drive projects by and for women of the community.

“This event surpassed all of our hopes and expectations,” said Sarah Oprzedek, Resource Development Director for United Way of Will County. “We certainly achieved our first goal, which was to raise awareness of Women United. We are so inspired by the women in the area who want to get involved.”
