ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – At a recent breakfast held by the Will County Regional Superintendent of Schools, state Rep. John Connor, D-Lockport, joined area superintendents for a discussion of state education policy.
“Our superintendents are on the front lines every day, and their opinions on how the state can improve education for our children is very important to me,” Connor said. “Last summer, I joined my colleagues to pass sweeping education funding formula reform that will bring millions of additional state dollars into local classrooms. I will continue to rely on the expertise of local educators and administrators as the legislature considers additional ways to help schools and students succeed.”
Connor voted to pass Senate Bill 1947 last summer, which increases state funding for every school in Will and DuPage counties.
