Connor Asks Residents to Nominate Local “Business of the Month”

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – State Rep. John Connor, D-Lockport, is calling on residents to submit the names of small, local businesses they feel should be recognized as “Business of the Month” in Connor’s 85th District.

“We are lucky to live in an area that has a lot of entrepreneurs who are willing to invest in our community and our people,” Connor said. “I always try to shop local because it helps our economy, and it’s important that we recognize the difference makers in our business environment.”

Connor is asking residents to call or email his district office to submit the name and location of local small and mid-sized business that they believe he should honor as a “Business of the Month.” Businesses available for consideration must be in the 85th District, which includes parts of Bolingbrook, Crest Hill, Lemont, Lockport, Romeoville and Woodridge.

“I look forward to seeing the nominations, and will hopefully have an opportunity to meet with and engage the owners of these operations,” Connor said. “The feedback I receive from these important stakeholders drives the decisions I make in Springfield. We need to focus on creating a positive environment for business in our state, and that will require representatives like me to listen to business owners in our community.”
