BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. – To help children in need this winter season, state Rep. Jonathan Carroll, D-Northbrook, is collecting warm clothing items to benefit Arlington Heights’ Shelter, Inc.
“We are all increasingly wearing our warm coats, hats and gloves as the temperature gets colder,” Carroll said. “But unfortunately, for children experiencing homelessness, abuse or neglect, winter weather can be dangerous without the right gear. That’s why I’m encouraging friends and neighbors to join me in donating new and gently used-winter clothes during my winter clothing drive.”
Carroll will be collecting winter weather items through Friday, Dec. 22. Carroll is asking for residents to donate new and gently used coats, scarves, hats, gloves and other winter garments as temperatures drop. Residents may drop off donations at Carroll’s constituent office, located at 830 S. Buffalo Grove Rd., Suite 120 in Buffalo Grove, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“Join me in paying it forward this holiday season,” Carroll added. “Together, we can give back to our community by lending a helping hand for those who would otherwise struggle in the bitter cold this winter.”
