DES PLAINES, Ill. – In an effort to help residents on fixed incomes manage their utility bills, state Rep. Marty Moylan, D-Des Plaines, will host a Utility Bill Clinic on December 12th, at the Des Plaines Public Library, located at 1501 Ellinwood Avenue in Des Plaines from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
“One of the most common concerns I hear from seniors while going door-to-door is the struggle they are having to make ends meet,” Moylan said. “That is why I am hosting a Utility Bill Clinic for seniors, to show them ways they can save their hard earned money.”
Moylan has invited representatives from the Citizens Utility Board (CUB) to the Des Plaines Public Library to assist any resident who needs help saving money on their bills. The CUB representatives will work one-on-one with attendees and thoroughly go over their current bills and answer any questions they might have about the utility services and costs. Attendees are asked to bring their most current utility bills with them to the clinic.
“Please stop by and discuss with one of our Citizens Utility Board representatives about ways you can save money and keep costs down,” Moylan said. “Events like these can really help the quality of life for many residents in the community.”
If you would like to RSVP, or have any questions about the event, or any clarifications about what you might need to bring, please call Moylan’s full-time constituent office at 847-635-6821 or email me at StateRepMoylan@gmail.com.
