BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. – State Rep. Jonathan Carroll, D-Buffalo Grove, is extending an invitation to local leaders of the interfaith community to lead the Illinois House of Representatives in prayer.
“I want extend a warm welcome to local leaders of any and all religious backgrounds to convene the House with well wishes and sentiments of good will,” Carroll said. “As your new state Representative, I will make it a priority to engage and collaborate with faith leaders as a force for positive change, to remind us of our duty to serve the people of Illinois in good faith, and our responsibility to take actions to uplift the less fortunate.”
Carroll encourages religious leaders to take part in providing the invocation in Springfield and stresses the importance of an ongoing dialogue between leaders of the interfaith community and elected officials, highlighting how the two can effectively work together.
