CICERO, Ill. – State Rep. Elizabeth “Lisa” Hernandez, D-Cicero, will host a Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, August 30th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Heritage Middle School, located at 6850 W 31st Street in Berwyn.
“With all the uncertainty and chaos coming out of Washington, many of the good things currently happening right here at home are being overlooked. I’m looking forward to updating people on the work I’ve been doing to lower property taxes, and expand access to a quality education to all children,” Hernandez said. “I encourage everyone to join us and be a part of our conversation so I can make sure their voices are being heard in Springfield.”
At the town hall, Hernandez will be joined by local superintendents to discuss her education funding reform plan which will provide an additional $22.1 million in funding to local schools. She will also be providing details about the state budget, her efforts to reduce property taxes, and other issues affecting local families. This Town Hall Meeting is open to the public, however RSVPs are encouraged in order to properly accommodate crowd size.
For more information, or to RSVP, residents can call Rep. Hernandez’s full-time constituent service office at 708-222-5240.
