Grasse Responds to Governor’s Budget Proposal

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Nicolle Grasse, D-Arlington Heights, issued the following statement in response to Governor JB Pritzker’s annual budget address:

“The work of creating a fiscally and socially responsible budget has never been more important. It’s clear that there is much work ahead to craft a fair, responsible budget that uplifts every family and stays true to our communities’ needs — unfettered by a tumultuous federal government,” said Grasse. “At every step of this process, I’ll be making our voices heard — prioritizing access to better healthcare and mental health care, tools to ease property taxes, investing in our local schools, and maintaining and expanding critical social services for veterans and other vulnerable communities. Today is the first step of a long process, and I’m committed to showing up for and defending Illinois families in our budget conversations.”
