Rashid Invites Students to Participate in Local Art Contest

BERWYN, Ill. – State Rep. Abdelnasser Rashid, D-Bridgeview, is inviting local elementary school students to participate in his second annual 21st District Art Contest.

“I am excited to announce our office’s second 21st District Art Contest,” said Rashid. “This competition was created to recognize the talents of our young local artists throughout the district while also encouraging them to think about contemporary topics surrounding them. I invite and encourage all of our student artists to take part in this contest!”

This year, Rashid’s office is highlighting health and wellness through the theme “Adventure to Wellness: Art Showcasing a Journey to Healthy & Happy Living.” This theme invites artists to capture their own creative transformative journey towards a healthier and happier life. This could be through personal growth, reflecting the diverse aspects of physical, emotional, mental well being, and any form of health and wellness.

Theme: Adventure to Wellness: Art Showcasing a Journey to Healthy & Happy Living

Eligibility:
● Must be K-5th grade student
● Must live in the 21st District
● Must submit an original piece
Submission Deadline: Last date to submit is November 17th, 2024 at 11:59 PM
Prizes:
● Top Contestant: Artwork will be displayed outside the Representative’s Springfield office
● 2nd – 4th Runner-ups: Artwork will be displayed within the Representative’s District Office, located in Berwyn, IL
