Faver Dias Commends First Responders for Illegal Weapons Seizure

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Laura Faver Dias, D-Grayslake, issued this response following the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Response Team’s seizure of numerous illegal weapons and weapons modification devices on Thursday.

“Men and women of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office once again showed their commitment to keeping their community safe with Thursday’s raid, and we owe them our gratitude. Illegal weapons, and illegal means of modifying weapons, pose a serious threat to public safety. Executing seizures like this is vital towards cracking down on violent crime and keeping our streets safe.”
