Canty to Hold ‘Weathering thru Winter’ Workshop to Promote Cold Weather Safety

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. — State Rep. Mary Beth Canty, D-Arlington Heights, is joining Cook County Commissioner Scott Britton and representatives from Nicor and Commonwealth Edison to hold a ‘Weathering thru Winter’ workshop to promote cold weather safety on Tuesday, Jan. 9, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Prospect Heights Public Library on 12 N. Elm Street in Prospect Heights.

“Every year, Illinoisans have to deal with chilly midwestern winters that pose safety hazards to them and their neighbors,” Canty said. “I invite everyone in the area to join me and Commissioner Britton, as well as experts from Nicor and Commonwealth Edison, to hear tips on how to stay safe this winter.”
