GRAYSLAKE, Ill. – State Rep. Laura Faver Dias, D-Grayslake, is raising awareness of opportunities for small businesses to apply for a new round of Back-to-Business grants, which provide funding to help develop growing small businesses.
“Back-to-Business grant opportunities are once again available to entrepreneurs who face challenges right now. As the daughter of small business owners, lending a hand to those businesses when they need a little relief is vitally important to me,” Faver Dias said. “Local commerce is the foundation of our state’s economy, and it should always be supported.”
Applications are open through Jan. 11., 2024, to businesses that opened between January 2020 and December 2021. Interested applicants are encouraged to visit b2bnewbiz.com to work with 100 trained community navigators working across Illinois to facilitate the application process.
“The Covid-19 pandemic put unprecedented obstacles in front of people who took a chance and opened their businesses at what turned out to be an unlucky time, and Back-to-Business grants are just levelling the financial playing field,” Faver Dias said. “Spurring job creation and economic activity in this community is an important step towards a stronger financial future that I hope many people take advantage of.”
