Scherer Wishes A Speedy Recovery for Injured ADM Employees

DECATUR, Ill. – In the wake of a Sunday evening explosion at Archer Daniels Midland Company’s (ADM) processing plant, located in Decatur, that hospitalized 8 employees, state Rep. Sue Scherer, D-Decatur, issued the following statement:

“I am praying for each of the workers who were injured in last night’s devastating explosion at ADM’s Decatur location. No one goes to work thinking that something so traumatic will occur during their shift. I am also praying for their families, co-workers and our community as we continue to navigate this. Finally, I want to thank our heroic first responders who responded quickly and professionally to treat the wounded and control the situation.”
