CHICAGO — State Rep. Lilian Jiménez, D-Chicago, will help families kick off a new school year at a Back to School Fair on Tuesday, July 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Nixon Elementary School, 2121 N. Keeler, in Chicago.
“The Back to School time is hectic for many families, but I wanted to make sure I did my part to ease that stress by helping prepare families for the coming months,” Jiménez said. “Families will be able to meet with teachers, access helpful resources and stock up on school supplies. I look forward to meeting with the community for these important events.”
Jiménez will join Chicago Public Schools’ Back to School Fair, offering students and families an opportunity to get ready for the coming year. Among the opportunities available to families are tours of the campuses, meet and greets with potential faculty, staff and other students, and drives to make sure students have all the necessary school supplies to have a productive year. Jiménez and her office will have a table at the Nixon Elementary School fair location to make themselves available to the community.
