Full-time Legislator; Previously served as Vice President on the Board of Commissioners of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRDGC); Appointed by The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to serve on the Local Government Advisory Committee (LGAC), a national advisory committee that helps implement various public health and environmental programs ensuring clean air, water, safe drinking water and responsible waste disposal; Former Legislative and Community Affairs Director for the Chicago Park District; Former adjunct professor Roosevelt University; Born and raised on Chicago’s south side; attended The University of Chicago Lab School; BS, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; MBA, University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Kimberly DuBuclet, D-Chicago, is leading a statewide effort to protect Illinois’ waterways, wildlife, and public health from the growing threat of microplastic pollution by introducing legislation to ban nonbiodegradable glitter in personal care products, this legislation is aimed at reducing one of the most common and preventable sources of plastic contamination.
