Avelar Responds to Lemont Petroleum Plant Fire

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. —  Upon learning about the deadly fire and reported explosion at the Seneca Petroleum Plant, state Rep. Dagmara “Dee” Avelar, D-Bolingbrook, released the following statement:

“I am deeply concerned about the fire at the Seneca Petroleum Plant, and my thoughts and prayers are with the deceased, the injured, and everyone affected by this tragic incident. I am monitoring the situation and once more information is available, will be available to help however possible. I also want to extend my thanks to the emergency personnel for their swift response and tireless efforts to keep our communities safe.”
