BOLINGBROOK, Ill. — In honor of Women’s History Month, state Rep. Dagmara “Dee” Avelar, D-Bolingbrook, in partnership with the Bolingbrook Chamber of Commerce, is hosting a Women in Business roundtable event on Monday, March 27 from 8-9 a.m. at the Bolingbrook Chamber Office located at 201 Canterbury Lane, Suite B in Bolingbrook.
“Women are incredible assets to any business organization, providing the leadership, life experience, and consumer insight necessary for businesses to succeed. But as in most male-dominated fields, it’s essential that women rely on each other and share best practices as they deal with the intersection of business and gender,” Avelar said. “Given that March is Women’s History Month, we wanted to honor our current history-makers and give women in business the space to network, learn, and grow. I cannot wait to connect with so many outstanding women at this event.”
Attendees will be able to connect with other women in business, share their experiences and best practices, and learn about avenues for state assistance. Light refreshments will be provided. RSVP is mandatory, as space is limited. To RSVP, please visit http://bit.ly/407eJf5.
