Ammons Statement on the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus Inauguration

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – State Rep. Carol Ammons, D-Urbana, issued the following statement regarding the upcoming 2023 103rd General Assembly Black Caucus Inauguration at the Wyndham City Centre at 703 E. Adams St. in Springfield on January 11 at 4 p.m.: 

“The Black Caucus and I are excited to return to Springfield to keep doing the people’s work and lift up the lives and livelihoods of black Illinoisans,” Ammons said. “Inauguration is both a time to celebrate hard-fought wins in elections across the state and a time to organize around issues we are ready to tackle. As the next Joint Chairperson, I look forward to working with everyone in our caucus, community members and all who are ready to make a difference in Illinois.”
