CHICAGO – Chaired by state Rep. La Shawn K. Ford, D-Chicago, the bipartisan House Public Safety and Violence Prevention Task Force will convene Thursday morning to discuss the intersection of trauma, structural racism and mental health in Illinois youth.

The hearing will be conducted in-person at the Bilandic Building and virtually on Zoom. A livestream will be available https://ilga.gov/houseaudvid.asp. Organizations that are expected to be represented include:
