COLLINSVILLE, Ill.– State Rep. Katie Stuart, D-Edwardsville, is inviting teachers, parents, and residents interested in education issues to attend a citizen advisory committee meeting on Jan. 24 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Collinsville Public Library located at 408 W. Main St.
“Citizen Advisory Committee meetings provide a great opportunity for residents to share their input and for me to receive feedback on the impact of a decision made in Springfield,” said Stuart. “These meetings happen monthly on a range of topics to make sure residents have the opportunity to share their insight on the issue that matters most to them.”
Stuart will provide an update on her legislative agenda for this year. Following her legislative update, residents will have the opportunity to ask questions or share ideas with her about improving education. Stuart regularly hosts town hall meetings each month on different topics to help provide residents with opportunities to talk with their elected officials about important issues impacting our communities.
“I want to encourage residents to attend and share their questions and ideas about the future of education,” continued Stuart. “As school districts continue to deal with the pandemic and plan for the future, I want to make sure that students, educators, parents and others have a voice in the process.”
