CHICAGO – State Rep. Fran Hurley, D-Chicago, recently partnered with Sen. Bill Cunningham and Ald. Matt O’Shea to collect supplies for the Ronald McDonald House to benefit families of children with cancer and other illnesses receiving care at Advocate Children’s Hospital.
“The Ronald McDonald House provides an excellent service for families coping with childhood illness, allowing families to stay with their child while they’re in the hospital,” said Hurley. “Families can stay at our local Ronald McDonald House while their child is receiving care at Advocate Children’s Hospital, ensuring they can remain close by but still take care of their needs by making sure they have access to hot meals, laundry facilities and a place to sleep.”
