Carpentersville, Ill. – State Rep. Suzanne Ness, D-Crystal Lake, hosted a diaper drive in October to benefit the D300 Food Pantry. In total, Rep. Ness’ District Office collected 3,414 Diapers, 50 Packages of Baby Wipes, and over 20 other baby items from the community to donate.
“It’s amazing what can be accomplished when we come together as a community to support one another. I am incredibly proud of the efforts of our neighbors, our partner-sites, and my staff. The D300 Food Pantry plays an important role in connecting resources to families that need them. We intend to continue to support the work they do and the families they serve. While our drive is over, our hope is that the community continues donating diapers and other necessary supplies to the D300 Food Pantry.”
The D300 Food Pantry serves Community Unit School District 300: is the sixth largest school district in the state of Illinois. D300 services approximately 21,000 students covering 118 square miles which includes 10 villages/cities and 4 townships. There continues to be a great need for assistance amongst families.
