NAPERVILLE – As the beginning of a new legislative session approaches in Springfield, state Rep. Janet Yang Rohr, D-Naperville, is encouraging local residents to share their ideas for potential new laws.
“Our community has faced a number of new challenges over the past year that have sparked the need for new laws and revisions to current laws,” said Yang Rohr. “To help develop solutions to these issues that work for our community and the state, I encourage residents to share any thoughts or ideas they may have with my office.”
Yang Rohr is encouraging residents to send in ideas for new bills. Bill ideas can be submitted via email to Yang Rohr’s district office at info@repyangrohr.com, by attending a monthly Coffee & Conversation, or through participation in a Citizen Advisory Panel. Registration for these events and committees are available through www.repyangrohr.com.
“One of my top priorities has been increasing transparency and improving conditions for the residents of our local communities and state as a whole,” continued Yang Rohr. “Residents deserve to have the opportunity to participate and collaborate with their state government. I look forward to having conversations with the residents of my district on how we can build a stronger Illinois.”
Yang Rohr represents the 41st District, which is made up of communities in Naperville and Warrenville. Yang Rohr is asking that bill ideas are sent to her district office by November 1.
