ROCKFORD, Ill. – With the many challenges that the business community has faced over the past year, state Rep. Dave Vella, D-Rockford, met with leaders and employees of the Ingersoll Machine Tools Inc. manufacturing plant in Rockford as part of his “Dave on Duty” events. Vella toured the manufacturing plant and spoke with leadership about the ways he can help support the growth of manufacturing jobs in the Rockford area.
“With the financial impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic causing harm to our local businesses, it is vital that we are listening to the business community in order to get them the relief they need,” said Vella. “Local businesses, such as Ingersoll Machine Tools, are the lifeblood of our community. Supporting these businesses during this difficult time is critical in protecting thousands of jobs for our residents while also investing in the growth of our local economy. I look forward to meeting with business leaders across my district to ensure their needs are being met.”
