ROCKFORD, Ill. – Last week, state Rep. Dave Vella, D-Rockford, marked his first 100 days in office serving the 68th District by highlighting some of his local and legislative achievements to date.
“As State Representative, it has been my honor to serve the people of the 68th District for the past 100 days,” said Vella. “Whether it’s here in the district connecting local residents with state services and hearing their concerns about important issues or in Springfield working on legislation and serving as their voice in state government, I spend each day working for my constituents.”
Since taking office in January, Vella and his district staff have been working to provide constituent services to local residents by assisting with issues related to unemployment benefits, COVID-19 vaccine access, FOID card applications and many more state services. Vella has also been working on legislation in Springfield that reflects the issues and concerns of the 68th District. Vella’s constituent service and legislative accomplishments from his first 100 days in office include:

- House Bills sponsored: 17
- House Bill co-sponsored: 49

“I am proud of the work we have accomplished in these first 100 days in office, especially in the midst of a pandemic when many local families and businesses are facing difficult challenges,” Vella said. “I look forward to building on the work that we have started and continuing to serve as a voice for my constituents here in the district and in Springfield.”
