Costa Howard Hosts Tuesday with Terra to Discuss Criminal Justice Legislation

LOMBARD – State Rep. Terra Costa Howard, D-Glen Ellyn, will convene a diverse panel of experts at a virtual town hall meeting next Tuesday that will focus on Illinois’ new criminal justice reforms and their likely impacts on law enforcement and community members.

“I think it’s important for all of us to understand what these new reforms will – and will not – mean to public safety in our communities,” Costa Howard said. “Together, I hope we can have a meaningful dialogue about these important changes in our criminal justice system and what we can do to further improve safety and increase equity in protection and enforcement.”

The town hall panelists will include:
● State Rep. Kam Buckner, Chair of the Illinois House Legislative Black Caucus
● Philip Norton, Glen Ellyn Chief of Police,
● Amanda Pyron, Executive Director of The Network
● Regina Brent, Founder and President of the Unity Partnership
● Michael Childress, President of the DuPage County NAACP
