Tarver Encourages Community Stakeholders to View Energy and Environment Committee Hearing on Lakefront Erosion

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Curtis J. Tarver, II, D-Chicago, is inviting residents to tune into a live stream of the House Energy and Environment Committee on March 22 at 4:00 p.m. for a subject matter hearing on lakefront erosion, a serious issue that is displacing residents and businesses in Tarver’s district.

“Lakefront erosion is something that is incredibly important and pertinent to the people of the community,” said Tarver. “Currently, we are seeing record high lake levels, which is only accelerating the issue of erosion. This is affecting our lakefront trails and tourism and brings fears for what this means for lakefront homeowners. We all must work together to find comprehensive solutions to this serious problem before it is too late.”
