Manley Listens to Concerns of Residents at Coffee Shop Stop

BOLINGBROOK, IL. – Welcoming constituents to share their ideas, thoughts and concerns about state and local issues, state Rep. Natalie Manley, D-Joliet, hosted her first coffee and conversation event of the new legislative session Saturday at Panera Bread in Bolingbrook.

“I always look forward to the opportunity to speak to residents on a number of topics, from workforce development and community service to education,” Manley said. “I learned quite a bit from the people who stopped by, and I look forward to engaging residents I will meet at future coffee and conversation events.”

Manley has planned two coffee and conversation events per month for 2017, as part of her goal to connect with constituents from every part of her district. Her next stop will be on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 9 a.m. at the Starbucks located at 377 S. Weber Rd. in Romeoville.

“Having my voice heard and making a difference is really important to me,” attendee Michelle Stiff, a Bolingbrook High School teacher, said. “Representative Manley is very personable, approachable and was engaged and concerned about the issues.”
