ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – With COVID-19 vaccines planned to be distributed in the upcoming months, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, is highlighting the opening of Lake County’s AllVax portal, which residents can use to register and get notified when appointments to get the vaccine are available.
“As vaccines begin to get distributed, it is important that they are given in a way that makes sure that those most vulnerable get them as quickly as possible,” said Yingling. “Lake County’s AllVax system is a great way to make sure that those who need the vaccine most get it as soon as possible, and I highly encourage everyone to register and help fight against the COVID-19 virus with this new vaccine.”
Lake County’s AllVax portal is open to all Lake County residents. Those registering will be asked to enter basic information, such as name and date of birth, and a few screening questions, which will help determine when residents will be eligible for a vaccine. Once registered, residents will be notified when they can make an appointment to get a vaccination. The AllVax portal also contains answers to frequently asked questions regarding the COVID-19 vaccination process. To register, please visit the AllVax portal at allvax.lakecohealth.org or call the Lake County Health Department at (847) 377-8130.
“With the surge in COVID-19 cases over the past couple of months, the importance of COVID-19 vaccines has never been clearer,” said Yingling. “Please take a few moments to register and help others that you know register as well. Together we can help make sure to keep ourselves, families, and communities healthy and safe from this virus.”
