Mussman Highlights Tollway Relief Program

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – To provide residents with financial relief from toll violations, state Rep. Michelle Mussman, D-Schaumburg, is alerting residents to the upcoming deadline for the Tollway Relief Program, which expires at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30.

“As many families are facing financial hardship due to the pandemic, paying a mortgage or putting food on the table may have taken priority over paying toll fees,” said Mussman. “The Tollway Relief Program is an excellent opportunity to pay off any outstanding fines for a significantly reduced cost.”

Mussman is highlighting the Tollway Relief Program, which is reducing all outstanding $20 and $50 fines per toll to $3 per toll for all violations accrued before June 2020. Drivers who have already participated in the program this year to pay off fines have collectively saved almost $90 million in relief. The relief program includes residents who have previously been sent to collections for outstanding toll violations. “The Tollway’s deadline to receive relief is quickly approaching,” continued Mussman, “I urge residents with old outstanding toll violations to take advantage of the Tollway Relief Program to pay off their fines at a reduced price.” 

Mussman represents the 56th District, which contains portions of Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Elk Grove Village, Hanover Park, Roselle, Rolling Meadows and Palatine.
