Conroy Named Outstanding Illinois Legislator by Illinois Counseling Association

VILLA PARK, Ill. – State Rep. Deb Conroy, D-Villa Park, was named Outstanding Illinois Legislator by the Illinois Counseling Association.

“Counselors play a critical role in our communities, and that role has only been amplified during this global pandemic,” Conroy said. “It’s a tremendous honor to be recognized by the professionals in our state who are committed to wellness, development and dignity for all.”

This McGinn/Clark Award recognizes an Illinois legislator who contributes the most to advocacy, public policy, and legislative recognition for professional counselors and clients in Illinois. As the Chair of the House Mental Health Committee, Conroy is one of the state’s leading advocates for behavioral healthcare.
