DES PLAINES, Ill – State Rep. Marty Moylan, D-Des Plaines, recently hosted a Citizen’s Utility Board (CUB) clinic to help residents lower their costs on a variety of energy and utility bills.

“It was great having such a solid turnout and seeing residents save money on their monthly expenses,” Moylan said. “Every dollar counts, particularly now in the middle of winter when we have to use heat more.”

Moylan’s clinic had experts from CUB look over residents’ electric, water, gas, phone, cable, and internet bills, identify unnecessary charges and recommend tips to cut down on those costs. Residents also were able to speak to an ICASH representative from the state’s treasurer office to inquire about any unclaimed property or money that may be owed to them that is currently held by the state. Those interested in learning tips on how to save money on their utilities are encouraged to visit citizensutilityboard.org.

For more information about this clinic please contact Moylan’s full-time constituent office at 847-635-6821 or email StateRepMoylan@gmail.com.
