BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. – State Rep. Jonathan Carroll, D-Northbrook, recently visited Buffalo Grove High School, and met with staff while touring various classes as Principal for the Day.
“Buffalo Grove is an excellent high school that serves its students well, and I’m grateful to them for inviting me to be here,” Carroll said. “Public schools fill a critical role in our community, and BGHS is a great example of an institution that can do a lot of good. Illinois’ kids deserve the best education in the country, and schools like this are leading the way.”
As part of his continued focus on building up education in Illinois, Carroll spoke with teachers and other faculty about their priorities regarding Illinois’ schools. During his time as Principal for the Day, he also toured classes and took part in a newly-formed virtual reality vocational training program, which teaches students practical employment skills in a safe, low-cost environment.
