ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, held a Holiday Food and Clothes Drive in partnership with the Avon Township Cares Food Pantry. Residents were able to drop off non-perishable food and new or gently used clothes, which were then donated to the Avon Food Pantry and other charities to help those in need over the holiday season.
“Hosting events to give back to the community is very important to me,” said Yingling. “While I work in Springfield to improve the lives of middle-class families around Illinois, it is also important to hold events such as this drive to help people immediately. Thank you to everyone who participated in my Food and Clothes Drive and helped brighten someone’s holiday season.”
Yingling regularly works to give back to the communities that he serves, hosting events to provide more services and resources for middle-class families, including events that help cut down on costly utility bills and property tax bills. Holding the Holiday Food and Clothes Drive is just one way that Yingling works to help his constituents.
