ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – As part of his efforts to connect constituents to vital resources, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, is highlighting the new “Help is Here” program by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) that helps residents find the services they need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“In these difficult times, having access to necessities has become even more difficult for many,” said Yingling. “We must make sure that we are taking advantage of every opportunity for residents to get the support they need.”

The Help is Here program is a compilation of resources that help with gaining access to food, shelter, medical attention, and more. Included in the program is a hotline that can help residents navigate the resources and find what their best options are. Yingling has consistently worked to bring vital resources to his community. Last fall, Yingling held both a Health Fair and a Job Fair for members of his district. He also holds numerous seminars to get residents the information that they need on various important topics.

“There are many resources for those in need to get the help they deserve,” said Yingling. “I highly encourage anyone going through a difficult time to check and see if the Help is Here program may get you the support that you need.”
