“We have made progress toward building a stronger Illinois, but we have more work to. That starts with continuing to pass honest, balanced budgets that fund critical services like our children’s schools, our roads and bridges, and our social services. We must stabilize state financing, continue to strengthen our economy and welcome new industries and technologies while making sure we don’t leave our workers behind. By expanding opportunities for vocational and technical training, we can make sure to fill new, good-paying, middle-class jobs with our already dedicated and talented workforce. Finally, enacting real property tax relief will take the unfair property tax burden off of homeowners and create great new opportunities for growth.
“I am excited to come back to Springfield for another session, one where we will continue to promote policies that ensure Illinois remains a great place to live and work.”
