ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, released the following statement after Gov. JB Pritzker’s State of the State Address on Wednesday:

“The State of the State address is an excellent time for us all to consider the progress we have made in the previous legislative session, and what we want to prioritize for the upcoming months to continue to work for a stronger Illinois, together. Not only have I been an advocate for a new tax system that works in the interest of middle class families, I have also backed measures to consolidate unnecessary units of local government to ease the burdens of taxes placed on working families.”

“However, there is a lot of work to continue to be done. The simple fact of the matter is that we desperately need tangible, comprehensive property tax relief for middle-class families. I look forward to working with my colleagues on the right, as well as all stakeholders in the conversation to come up with fresh solutions that work for our middle-class.”
