Moylan Hosts Successful Community Shred Day

DES PLAINES, Ill. – Continuing to provide resources for the residents of the 55th District, state Rep. Marty Moylan, D-Des Plaines, hosted his annual Community Shred Day this past Saturday at Juno Lighting Group in Des Plaines.

“We had a great turnout and everyone who stopped by was able to get their documents shredded,” said Moylan. “It was great to do the event this year using a local shredding company from here in Des Plaines.”

Moylan was joined by the local company Shred First and a team of volunteers including state Sen. Laura Murphy, D-Des Plaines, and her staff. The many attendees were all able to shred their documents as the line moved quickly to service everyone who stopped by.

“Lucky for us, the weather held up and we had a great time interacting with everyone from the community,” said Moylan. “Thank you to our volunteers for helping this event go smoothly and I’d like to thank all the residents who came out to utilize this resource.”
