ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – Highlighting his recent efforts in Springfield to boost economic growth and development in Illinois, state Rep. Mark Walker, D-Arlington Heights, is hosting a Coffee with Mark event to discuss his agenda for building a stronger Illinois.
“As one of the only legislators in Springfield with a business background, I’ve made it my priority at the capitol to work on economic growth for our communities,” Walker said. “Part of that work is talking with residents and business owners to hear their opinions and concerns. Building a stronger Illinois means everyone needs to be engaged.”
Scheduled this month in Mount Prospect, the Coffee with Mark event will take place on Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Mount Prospect Public Library, located at 10 S. Emerson St. The event is free to attend and coffee will be provided for residents.
“Meeting with local residents is the most important part of my work,” Walker said. “I believe that Illinois is a great state that has faced some challenges. If we’re going to better leverage Illinois’ assets and put our state on the right track, we have to have these conversations at all levels of government.”
