BLOOMINGDALE, Ill. – On Saturday, state Rep. Diane Pappas, D-Itasca, helped residents protect their health by partnering with the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois to provide free kidney disease and diabetes screening at the Shree Radhey Shyam Temple of Bloomingdale.
“Healthcare is a core issue of concern wherever I go within my District,” said Pappas. “I am happy to have been able to provide residents with the ability to take proactive measures against kidney disease and diabetes, both of which can develop into chronic, lifetime illnesses.”
“The National Kidney Foundation of Illinois was very excited to host a successful screening at the Shree Radhey Shyam Temple,” said Regina White, manager of KidneyMobile with the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois. “We had the opportunity to screen over 50 people, and we look forward to working with Rep. Pappas again next year.”
